Analysis Functions

For each thermocouple the following can be calculated:

  • Max/Min shows the maximum, mean, and minimum temperatures and the precise time they were reached.
  • Time at Temperature shows the time spent above pre-determined temperature thresholds.
  • Rise / Fall: this analysis mode calculates the rates of heating and cooling for each probe over user-defined temperature ranges..
  • Slope calculates the maximum rate of heating and cooling for each probe, the times at which these occurred, and the average rate of change of temperature for each probe.
  • Peak Difference identifies the two probes that recorded temperatures with the biggest difference within the profile. It can therefore be used to identify where the worst imbalances of heating are occurring on the product.
  • View Data shows the raw temperature and time data for each thermocouple throughout the run.


 

 

SPC (Statistical Process Control)

Prevent oven process problems before they occur with Insight's new integrated Statistical Process Control (SPC) function. View and analyze historical data variations in key analysis parameters such as Maximum Slope, Time Above Liquids and Peak Temperature without the need to export data.

 

Profile Prediction Control

 
Simple profile prediction enables users to analyze the effects that changing the recipe settings will have on the temperature profile.  This aids in finding the optimum settings for any given product without having to conduct numerous trials through the oven,  saving time and money.

Alarms

To further enhance the ease of use and the speed of analysis, Insight software includes user configurable alarms. Any critical parameter of the thermal profile can have an alarm value assigned to it. If any part of the profile exceeds these alarm values, a clear indication is given on the screen. The Insight software can be configured to automatically check alarm values as the operator downloads the data. This makes analysis very quick, reliable and free of any possible operator error.

Wave Solder Analysis

Insight software provides full analysis of the wave soldering process. The critical pre-heat and wave soldering parameters are all presented in one easy-to-read table. Parameters such as peak pre-heat temperatures, wave contact times, and line speed can be quickly checked. The full power of Insight software can be used for in-depth analysis. Reflow Results Table to speed the analysis

With a typical reflow soldering profile being only six minutes duration, users don't want to spend a further six minutes analyzing the profile.
