The Datapaq Kiln Tracker Telemetry System allows you to see in real time what happens to your product during the firing process.

Thermocouples, placed within the ware, feed temperature information back to the Data Logger which sits directly beneath the kiln car. Protected from the high temperatures beneath the car by a specially engineered Thermal Barrier, the Data Logger transmits the temperature information via Radio Frequency (RF) back to the PC. To ensure the integrity of the data, it is also stored on the Logger at the same time as it is transmitted. The Datapaq Telemetry System uses advanced radio data transmission technology to send and receive information which makes it ideal to use in most tunnel kilns.

Kiln Tracker Telemetry benefits:

  • Adjust kiln settings on problem ware while the batch is still in the tunnel kiln.
  • See precisely what is happening to the product during the firing process.
  • Have instant access to data, vital for quick problem solving.
  • Assess the effects of changes to kiln settings as the process progresses.
  • Ideal for development of thermal profiles for new products.
  • Compare actual product temperatures to specification during the process.
  • Optimize cycle times.

New TM21 Radio Telemetry System Features

  • System can be tailored to meet your specific process requirements:
Batch Process(es) – Simple primary receiver kit.
Demanding Conveyorized Processes – Primary receiver complemented with add on modular secondary receivers.
  • Automatic frequency selection from software, thus minimizing interference and maximizing signal quality.
  • Intelligent listen-before-transmit feature enables the system to operate with multiple loggers on the same transmitting frequency and collect all data in one installation of Datapaq Insight software.
  • Receivers connected in series with low-loss RS485 digital communications bus maximizing signal strength.
  • Comprehensive on screen real time system diagnostics reporting signal status for each transmitting logger and receiver.
  • Transmission performance optimized for high-temperature operation with internal self-calibration routines.
  • The radio system has full approval to geographical regulations (EU, USA and Japan)
  • Ultra low power consumption extending battery life and hence operating life.
  • In-logger data storage as back-up to transmitted data ensuring integrity of data.
  • Fits most existing Phased Evaporation Kiln Tracker Thermal Barriers - so easy to retrofit
  • Two types of transmitting antenna to suit thermal barrier loading position.

Insight Telemetry Features

  • Automatic intelligent frequency selection and set-up.
  • Real time tool detailing quality of data transmission for each logger / receiver and system status information.
  • Live real-time analysis of process data and review against process set-up (zones, temperature set-points, overlays).
  • Event markers log events at the precise point they happen on the profile.
  • Automatic data-saving to PC during run to guarantee data protection.

A trial is recommended to ensure optimum operating conditions.
