The Datapaq Insight Surveyor system is designed to greatly simplify the profiling process. By following a few simple steps line operators can profile the reflow soldering process. The resetting of the logger, analysis of the results and saving of the data are all fully automated to eliminate human error. The system ensures technicians can be confident that the results obtained by the operators accurately reflect the true stability of the soldering process. For the operators a clear traffic light indication of oven performance is given while the full profile data is saved for subsequent SPC analysis by the engineering staff.

How does the Datapaq Insight Surveyor work?

The Insight Surveyor analysis software features two user levels, Technician and Operator. It is designed to be used as follows:

• The Technician sets up the reflow soldering process in the traditional method by attaching thermocouples to a PCB assembly
• The Surveyor is then passed through the process to obtain a baseline profile
• Using the baseline profile the Technician sets an acceptable tolerance band for subsequent profiles
• Operators can simply pass the system through the oven at regular intervals. Insight Surveyor will analyze and check the results automatically saving the profile data
